Blues battle it out for Yakubu

">

BIRMINGHAM CITY will this week make a club-record £10million bid to snatch Middlesbrough striker Yakubu from the clutches of Sven Goran Eriksson. Blues boss Bruce will offer Yakubu a bumper five-year £40,000-a-week deal to tempt him to St Andrews as Birmingham splash the cash after bouncing straight back into the top flight.

Birmingham, however, will face a tug-of-war with new Manchester City boss Eriksson, who is keen to capture Yakubu in an attempt make a big impact in his first season in the Premiership. Bruce is ready to break the bank to capture the Nigerian international and is convinced the former Portsmouth striker’s goals can help consolidate the second city side in the Premiership.
Should Yakubu join Bruces Blues, or be part of Svens new era in English club football?  Whats the best move for him?  Leave your points of view below...

can't see there being any truth in this seeing as we've almost signed mido for a fee of 6m

Dont be stupid why would he want to go to birmingham city when he could join the new super power just about to hit the premiership MANCHESTER CITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I'd rather Bruce spent £10m on a central defender or two!

Yakubu would be a good addition, but what about O'Connor and Mido...not to mention, Vine, McSheffrey, Jerome, Forssel?

Collecting strikers doesn't equal premiership success - BUY A DEFENDER!

Yakubu for £10 mill!! if that is the case we will have a good forward line in o`connor, jerome, forssell, mido and Yakubu. To be honest i would prefer some1 like Lualua

blues spend 10m on one player, lol it would be great if yakubu signed for blues but i cant see it happening , especally blues are about to buy mido for 6m and bruce is concentrating on defence

i think it could be a good signing for the blue boys roll on next season!!

defently birmingham they will have a better future and will be garentued first team football four years where as sven will alwyas have money to strengthen
