Heinze speaks out

">

In one of this weeks biggest talking points Gabriel Heinze last night demanded a place in the Manchester United first-team just as boss Alex Ferguson insisted the Argentinian defender would stay at the club. Heinze, who has been linked with a controversial move to Liverpool, said: said: “I will only leave United if Alex Ferguson says to my face that I do not enter in his plans for next season."I think I deserve a place in the starting eleven. I am perfect physically and I do not consider me to be inferior to any companion in the defense."

United have turned down a £6.3million bid from Liverpool for the versatile 29-year-old but Ferguson revealed he expects Heinze back for pre-season training. Speaking on United’s tour of south east Asia, Fergie said: “"He’s on holiday after the Copa America. We expect him back in training in two weeks time and that’s the situation. I won’t need to discuss too many things with him. "I think he knows that we know that his agent is the mechanism of what is happening at the moment and we are trying to steer a way through that minefield, because they have been quite difficult people." Heinze revealed he has heard nothing about a possible move away. He said: “I have a deal signed with United and no offers have arrived. “In the last weeks there’ve been many rumours in the press but in reality where are Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, etc? I know the rumours of the interest from Liverpool by the newspapers.
“This is a delicate subject, especially for the fans. “They are the people who have always done so much to help me since my arrival and I believe that to leave United for Liverpool would not be understood by them."

Should Heinze stay at United, is he really worthy of a place in the starting eleven! Liverpool fans would you take him to heart or is it just a no go for you? Tell us your thoughts...

"I am perfect physically and I do not consider me to be inferior to any companion in the defense"..

Havent seen yourself play lately huh Gabriel?

Unload him for crying out loud.

We don't want or need Heize... the player is erratic and no better than any of our current defenders. Whats the point in signing him as cover when he clearly wouldn't be happy ... stay with the utd scum

Can you tell me where you go those quotes from Heinze? as far as I can tell you're the only one who has them.

Fans may not understand? Understatement Gaby!!
It would be hero to zero, just ask Paul-big time-Ince, his wasn't even a direct transfer!

No he is not worth A liverpool shirt. Rafa should just cough on Alves, just for the versatilty if not scaring opponents jus with appearing.

I'm a Liverpool fan and personally I think Heinze is a great left back. The only problem I have is that he is almost 30 years old but i think it would help Daniel Agger if he could play with Heinze and Carra on either side of him

I think Heinze, is one of the most experienced wing backs in the world, but I noticed that most part of last season, he was not as adventurous as expected, I think thats why Evra's looking good before Alex.

i think heinze is one of the premierships best left backs around and fergie would be a fool to pick sylvestre ahead of him!!im a true utd fan and if we do sell him it shouldnt be to the FLOP KOP!!!!SCOUSE SCUM!!

i'm a utd fan and when henzie came he was a great player but after his injury i don't think he found his form again.he cannot dictate to the manager we all know what happen's,there are planty of very good left backs sell him liverpool i could care less where he goes.he goes to ground too much and would be perfect for mersyside.cough!!!

GH would be nothing more than an expensive cover full back. Yes, he is a quality player but so are the current players in his position...but I would pay that kind of money just to wind up the SCUM from up the East Lancs Road

do you seriously think we need a cast off from the scum it is all paper talk and agents who want another 10 percent of any transfer fee same c... as we hear every year hope he stays there with all the other not wanteds

Gabby Heinze is good, and versatile, but last season Patrice Evra was better. United won the title because of the performances of Heinze, Brown and O'Shea towards the end of the season when Vidic, Ferdinand and Neville were injured, showing the benefit of having a strong squad. That need continues and Heinze should stay and fight for his plsce. If United do sell him it would be stupid to sell him to Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal.

How could Ferguson dictate a player's future and personal decision making? That Ferguson is afraid to let Liverpool have Heinze is an uderstatement, but even more so, the old man has no right deciding the future of any human being whose very own parents do not even interfere in the player's life for that matter to such an extent. While Ferguson demands the import of Tevez while expecting West Ham to give in, he contradicts himself by doing the opposite with Heinze. FIFA should just pull the plug on Ferguson, who has been increasing his club's debt by the day. He is like Mourinho's twin.

This just confirms what I have suspected all along. Gaby is crying for what is rightly his. He is and should be considered United's starting leftback. With all due respect to Evra who is a fine little player, he does not offer what Gaby does. Fergie needs to show faith in the Argentine and let him have his starting role back. If he plays poorly then make a change but at least give him his starting role back which he only lost because of injury. Last season he was still fighting off rust from the long period of inactivity. Lets not forget how great a player he was three season's ago when he showed up. Team MVP I believe. He would also be an important social influence for Tevez should we finally sign him.
Finally, if we are to lose him it will not be to Liverpool. I'm sure that if he goes it will be to Real Madrid where there is a major hole at leftback now that Roberto Carlos is gone. I don't think Gaby would personally welcome the wrath of ManYoo fans for jumping ship to the enemy. Something that is just not done nor condoned.

Get rid of him, every united player needs to show absolute commitment, and he clearly feels he is better than the club. Utd have proved in pre season that there team spirit is high, and that were in great form. The last thing we need is this muppet ruining a good thing. Let him go rot on the liverpool bench, it seems he will fit in well with the rest of the scouse morons. At his age we shoud take the money, drive gim there and dump him in the slums.
