Dishing out OUR cash to failed asylum seekers shows breathtaking contempt for ordinary working people of this country. Gordon Brown steals our pensions and plunders our wallets. And what for?

We get crap hospitals and services in return. Yet somehow the system finds fistfuls of readies for people who shouldn't even be here.

The cretins in Whitehall are so cut off from reality that they fail to understand that this policy will only encourage MORE bogus asylum seekers to come here in search of free wonga.

Just not fair this goverment opened the doors and wellcoming who ever coming from east of europe and entitle to stay to work to have benefits even for rest of family back home,
But people like me left home because being {Women and Human right}fighter through my art works in galaries and exhibitions it was life risking because it was against the system and the parties who had power in the area.

I'v been in this country for 8 years just seeking a beter and safe live then Iraq, still i cant have that!
And there are thousands of asylum seekers having similar problem, if we have a safe country and secure live no one like to be called asylum seeker or stranger no one like to be away from home and family.

The polotical asylum was created after the second world war. So the people who are persecuted by they government escape they country will get asylum in the nearest free country. When the Hungarian urising in 1956 the Hungarians escaped to Austria. When Hungary became a democratic country, the persecuted Romanians,Albanians stoped there,once they left Hungary or Austria they ceased to be a political refugees and became a economical migrants. So any Albanians, Rumanians, Africans, South Americans and Asians are nolonger Refugees but a economical migrants. Stop them at the borders and send them back.Take photos,Finger-prints and DNA from them and if they try to come back check they details and rerturn them back again with no cash. Problem solved. I agree tottaly with whats been said about the nhs. im living proof auauau.
i got diagnosed with having kidney problems 4 years ago and for 2 years straight they did nothing for me, i had to go to an appointment every 3 o 6 months and there they would repeat the same questions and give me more antibiotics.
i then moved to italy within the first 3 weeks i had to be deintoxicated cause in england they overdosed my body with cocktails of antibiotics. and in 2 years with the doctors they did over 40 exams plus they never hide your documents from you, what ever exams you have the paper work goes home with your self and finally in a couple of weeks i will be operated on and fingers crossed the doctors say with this operation i wont need a translplant for at least 20-30 years THANKS FOR NOTHING ENGLAND

I recently moved to an east european country - Slovenia - and here you really do have to prove you have enough money to support yourself before they let you in! The Netherlands is another country also getting pretty tough these days. So why is it that the UK, which has one of the lowest pensions in the whole of Europe, poorer health facilities than all other western european countries apart from Portugal, as well as the worst public transport systems, can afford such generosity to outsiders? It would seem most politicians are either unaware of such groundswell opinion or fear losing future votes from recently arrived immigrants - not that we will ever get a truthful answer. I am disgusted at the way our government are treating TRUE BRITS. I was recently put into a woman's refuge and had to try and claim benefits (the first time for well over 10 yrs).

It has taken me months to get benefit, unfortunately I'm under the Dr. and have been on anti-depressants, my Dr. does NOT want me to go back to work just yet but hopefully after christmas I'll be ready.

I had a medical for the benefits department, the Dr. wasn't ENGLISH he said, I WAS READY. I have appealed the decision but have to take a 20% loss of benefit,

I'm trying to live (with my 16yr old daughter) on £55 per week, child tax credits haven't been sorted yet either! Since I've been in the system I hear lots of stories of people cheating the system.

i worked for a housing association who only housed asylam seekers, the home office pay all the housing costs, water bills, gas bills, electric bills & council tax, they even give them money.

it was part of my job to give the lunchen vouchers to the section 4 claimers though they have failed all hope of staying here they still get all the same benefits as normal asylam seekers, i used to make them come on the same day and up until 11.30am because i new most of them were working in fast food shops so didn't finish work until early in the morning.

we blame the asylam seekers but why not get what they can, i think it is about time we changed things and allowed them to work until their claim was either granted or if refused ship them out ASAP.

Giving sanctuary to deserving asylum seekers is our duty. What we cannot tolerate is abuse of the system. Why did these failed asylum seekers desappear underground? IND reformed into BIA carry responsibility for that.
I have noticed that the real asylum seekers are not getting status, however some of people sent by their governments to harass the people who fled them are getting status and unshamely working for their embassy. The whole system is in shambles. £3000 compared to the benefits they get after HO lose their files is peanuts.

It absolutely stinks, I can't really describe how I feel, it's like a kick in the teeth. Our poor soldiers haven't got the right kit, we can't afford to get them the correct gear. Our OAP's are struggling, my mother has a government pension and a small private one, she gets taxed on this, she gets no help whatsoever, only a 25% discount on her council tax, wow! aren't they generous. As for the workers, we are taxed on our wages, savings, food, cigs, booze, clothes, for what, to give to ayslum seekers to start their own business, what a joke, would they give us a grant if we got thrown out of their country, I don't think so! Cannot believe it! My husband and I have worked all our lives until retirement and through hard work and good management we have scrimped and scraped for what? What makes me angry is my husband has worked for the same company for 28 years like many of his workmates and they are all being made redundant as they are taking the machines over to Poland where they have built a new company, for that 28 years all that he will receive is about £6,000 what an insult to a hard working family man, that is all we are going to receive from this goverment but if we were asylum seekers the 2 of us would receive more money than his redundancy. I think that yes the money is wrong to give to people why because there are many failed asylum seekers in our country and to give them this money to return to a country where their lives are at risk in alot of cases is discusting. My partner is a failed asylum seeker from a country where america and the uk have sent troops to take control of his country through this there are very limited jobs. Sadam has killed 11 of his family most of his friends have had their fathers killed and this have left their families very poor. They hear that they can come to england to work yes to work to earn money to support their families not come here for benefits like people think they come for. us english take advantage of this cheap labour. look how many english would rather sit on their ass all day and claim benefits. Maybe if people listened to the facts of how some of these people have suffered in their own country then maybe you would think that they should be able to come to a safe country and earn money. It is like the word muslim oh my god he must be a terrorist. not true muslim religion is one of the most respected religions in the world and they do not support terrorism it is people who do not fully understand through Ignorance that causes a lot of racism towards asylum seekers. Maybe if the government did not pay them benifits and the condition they could stay here was they must work and were not entitled to any benifits or housing for a period of five years you would get genuine people coming to england who need to be in a safer country than their own. The way I understand the system to work is a new asylum seeker arrives in england they can be housed in a shared house with other asylum seekers they get £30.00 a week and their home paid for while they go through the asylum prosses if they are full refused they loose their home and benefits this is when they have to face hardship in the uk so not all asylum seekers are living on the state this is when they have to work in cash in hand jobs some working up to 17 hours a day for as little as £150.00 a week. They then have to send most of this home to their mother who maybe living in a rented accomodation with a very low standard of living.

In short we as a people need to get together and as a united nation just 'say no' to the government via protests or any other method to make them hear the resentment of the people who make the wheels go round! Just lately I have had discussions with various people on various subjects.All of us agree with Capital punishment,bringing back National Service,Police on the beat(not behind desks) and that something needs to be done about the present level of Immigrants,both legal and otherwise,and asylum seekers coming here in droves! No wonder when they have all these incentives!!My husband and I ,disgusted with Britain,sold up and went to live in Cyprus!Unfortunately,it did.nt work out and we reluctantly came back.While in Cyprus we did not ask for or get any handouts whatsoever and on returning home,my husband went straight back to work ,60hours a week for the grand take home pay of £350.per week.Out of this ,we pay a 95% mortgage of £475 per mnth(interest only)£80 per month council tax,£30 per month water,£50 per month utilities,£100.per month insurances.We do not smoke,have an odd bottle of wine with a meal at weekends and hubby treats himself to a couple of cans of beer at the week end.When we read of the sort of things going on here it makes our blood boil!!The trouble is,unlike the pc brigade and human rights nutters etc,we the majority do nothing but moan about it! There was one priceless moment on Question time when "debating" the issue of wether immigrants should get priority housing over ourselves,the panel fell over themselves saying Hodge was rascist for suggesting the goverment might actually govern in the intrests of its own people and parroted by the audience 100%,at the end a woman in audience timidly said "I agree with Margaret Hodge" ,you could hear a pin drop in the studio,it was like the boy saying the King has got no clothes, she timidly went on to ask Allan Johnstone where all the housing,road space,infrastructure was going to come from to accomadate endless immigration, Johnstone made no attempt to answer her question and waffled about something she did not ask,at this point Dimbleby ALWAYS tells the panelist they are not answering the question asked but instead dismiised the whole uncomfortable subject by ruling we are going to move on.This is all on archive and is a real education.

Having read everyones comments and over 90% of the people here agree that Charity and payments should start at home. Why should we pay our hard earnt money on these foreigners to give themselves a better life. What would the government think if we stopped paying taxes through work or self employed people stopped. We should have a say where our money goes.

I would suggest having a Local tax which is used in the Towns/Villages where people live and the money which is paid out by the local council is highlighted so people can see where their HARD EARNT money is going. I live in a city devastated by flooding recently and many people here have lost everything. The government are putting money toward helping people but the money set aside will no doubt be less than the money put aside for the Asylum seekers.

We Have to look after our own people first. Look at the youths who cause trouble, We could invest in Leisure centre or entertainment centres to keep them out of trouble. But no, We give the money to asylum seekers who do nothing for us.

They said that the government give local councils £1,800 for each immigrant or asylum seeker who they take in to their area in turn this money is to be used to pay for leisure facilities to help them settle in
ie yearly gym membership, personal shopper (in case they don't understand things)and various other things they might need.
If this is true I can not believe what is happening to our country (and the government have certainly kept this one quiet) because if it is true can you imagine what the ordinary hard working British person would think, most have worked hard all their lives and still
