GET FLETCHER!

By DAVID HARRISON

EVERTON boss David Moyes plans to swoop for Manchester United midfield star Darren Fletcher.

Moyes is keen to exploit the player’s uncertain situation at Old Trafford and has been lining up a £3million bid for the Scotland international.

Fletcher, 24, is rated by United gaffer Alex Ferguson but was squeezed out of first-team contention last season by the arrivals of Owen Hargreaves and Anderson.

That pair — plus Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Scholes, Nani and Michael Carrick — proved to be the regulars in midfield last term.

With just a year left on his contract, Fletcher is in no rush to commit his future to United and could be tempted by a switch to the Merseyside club.

Sunderland and relegated Birmingham are among the other clubs to have registered their interest.

Fletcher, who has 36 caps for Scotland, made 24 appearances and scored two goals for United last season.

Think this would be a fantastic signing for us at Everton- a player in the Carsley mold- but with more flair, more pace and good big game experience. Would prove a similar move to Phil Neville's -which has been brilliant for both parties!!

fergy mit think other wise

How can you only rate Fletcher at £3m. With transfer prices being hugely inflated this summer Fletcher is worth at least 10 - 12 million. We got £5.5m for Richardson and Fletcher is twice the player he was. Whilst he would be a great signing for Everton i think Fletcher is to important as a squad player for United to let him go. Massively under rated in my opinion.

Darren Fletcher needs to be given a decent run out in the first team he is very underated but always plays his heart out for the club if Everton want to buy him make a decent offer of £8 million plus.

As a Blue I would love to see Fletcher at Goodison, but there is no way we are going to get him for £3 million £5-6 million would be more realistic and it would not surprise me if United had to sell to help balance the books as they are paying a fortune for Tevez.

If i was Fergie, i'd personally drive him to Everton. Poor player in my book, way off the quality the EPL gives. Small fish in a big pond, enough said.
