leon, i am so gald you won. rhydian had such an amazing voice, but what made you stand out is that from your very first audition to your last song you went from an average singer to an amazing, outstanding musician.

whereas rhydian on the other hand had already peaked from even before he had entered the competition, and to be honest, most of the time he was boring, we had heard the same thing over and over again. but you would come out one day doing a pop song, the next a jazz song, then a michael buble, the list was endless.

is it true that you've only been singing since the beginning of this year? and do you have any tips on getting better at singing?

Leon won because the X Factor is a popularity contest and he appeals to more people than Rhydian. Unfortunately popularity is a fickle beast and I get the feeling that a lot of his fans will desert him when the next big thing - Big Brother, American Idol, etc - comes along.

Musically I hope they let him do swing because that's what he loves and I think he'll do well in that niche. Rhydian will do well out of this too - he's obviously gutted because he's a Type A personality and ultra competitive - but he'll not be short of work after his exposure on the X Factor.
