DROGBA BLASTS BENITEZ' DIVE SLUR

By Adam Crowhurst

DIDIER Drogba admits he has lost respect for Rafael Benitez following the Liverpool manager's attack on what he perceives as the Chelsea striker's theatrical behaviour.

Benitez fanned the flames ahead of tonight's Champions League semi-final second leg between the two teams by claiming Drogba goes down too easily, while also revealing he has compiled a four-year dossier of the striker's alleged 'diving' antics.

TO RUSSIA WITH SCHOLES

United

By DAVID HARRISON

IT has taken him nine years but Paul Scholes finally gained his moment of Champions League glory last night.

The United midfielder never got over the fact that he missed the 1999 final through suspension, even though the club achieved a dramatic late win over Bayern Munich.

JOB DONE, FERGIE

CRISTIANO RONALDO missed a golden chance to give Manchester United a massive shove towards the Champions League final last night.

United's in-form, top scoring striker shot high and wide from the penalty spot in the second minute to squander the opportunity of taking a vital away goal into the second leg of their semi-final against Barcelona.

By ANDY DUNN at Anfield

IF Roman Abramovich realises his dream and watches his Chelsea side lift the Champions League trophy in Moscow on May 21, he will no doubt invite the entire squad on to his new £150million yacht.

But the prize place at the captain's table should be reserved for John Arne Riise.

FERGIE'S BARCA BEAT

By DAVID HARRISON

THIS was a shadow United team and a very shadowy performance from Sir Alex Ferguson's side.

No Cristiano Ronaldo, No Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney only making a brief appearance - United were stripped of their main sources of energy and inspiration.

GRANT MUST KEEP STRONG

By ROB SHEPHERD

CHELSEA fans have yet to warm to Avram Grant.

Truth be told, many don’t like him at all given the manner in which he succeeded Jose Mourinho as Blues boss.

RAFA'S EPIC GLORY

RAFA Benitez has delivered so many epics since joining Liverpool , he’s fast becoming a modern day Cecil B. DeMille.

Arsenal crumbled in the same fashion as Chelsea, Juventus, Barcelona and Inter Milan, overwhelmed by the sheer will to win Anfield emits on a European night.

WENGER'S BLIND ALLEY

By ROB SHEPHERD

ARSENE WENGER'S bullish belief in his young, wafer-thin squad will be revealed as either visionary or, more likely, blind faith over the next week.

Wednesday night's 1-1 Champions League quarter-final first leg draw at the Emirates has given Liverpool the advantage in the European clash.

MOUR PAIN FOR GRANT

WOULD Jose Mourinho have let a 1-0 lead slip or turned an imperious first-half performance into a second-half flop?

You've guessed it, the jury remains out on the rollercoaster reign of Avram Grant at Chelsea.
