Labour leadership hopeful Ed Miliband may be impressing the unions, but he will have to work harder to impress Middle England with his family credentials.

When asked if he is planning to marry long-term partner Justine Thornton, he replies: "We will get married. We were planning to do it.

"The Copenhagen environmental summit got in the way. Then there was the general election, and now the leadership election."

Does he ever send her flowers?

"Yes."

"A couple of times a year."
